The Vibration Wasps: The Creatures Waiting In The Mist

Humanity has mapped the Moon and planted colonies across the Jovian system, yet one destination remains stubbornly mysterious: Ganymede. Eight expeditions have already vanished there without explanation. When Richard and his fearless young wife Joan set course through Jupiter’s mist-shrouded realm, they expect danger—but not the kind waiting below.

Joan lives for discovery. Richard trusts caution and careful planning. Their differences have carried them across the Solar System, but when their instruments fail and gravity drags their vessel toward Jupiter itself, every calculation becomes meaningless.

Against all expectations, they survive the descent. The discovery should be historic. Beneath Jupiter’s endless clouds lies a solid world no one expected to find. But the true shock arrives when photographs taken outside the ship reveal immense winged creatures standing in the mist.

At first the explorers stare in wonder. Then the creatures come inside. Paralyzed within their own vessel, Richard and the surviving crew begin to understand the horrifying mistake the Jovian predators have made. To the creatures outside, the humans are not explorers at all—they are hosts.

As the buzzing shapes guard the chamber below, Richard faces the possibility that humanity’s boldest expedition may end far from Earth. Yet on a world filled with impossible life, salvation may arrive from a source no one could have predicted.
