I listened to this book before sleep and found it pleasant. It seemed well-written. Unfortunately, most of the narration was poor - either too fast or slow, with stilted inflection.

after listening to the sample, i really am no longer interested....what a shame

The stories are good, but the narration is... Well... Terrible. The narrators switch every chapter, and so far it's been all women whose voices don't match the tale of Vikings at all. Really ruins the mood and I don't like how narrators are switched every chapter because some of them randomly have that "recorded" faded sound to them.
