Unabridged Audiobook
Complex and intriguing characters, enough foreshadowing to let you play detective yourself, yet interesting enough crimes for the reveals to be thrilling. In many ways it is darker than many mystery novels, but the wonderful narration keeps it from being depressing and morbid.
I enjoyed this book, ìt kept me engaged with a good story line
I really enjoyed this I think there is a precursor to this book but can't find it in audio books, you don't need a precursor to enjoy this
I really liked this book and the narrator was great. It weaved an entertaining story about a young woman of the evening and how she navigated through the situations of her time. Bonus is she’s also a crime sleuth who provides a very satisfying ending. I highly recommend
Great story kept me looking forward to listening to find out the next development. Kept you guessing. Highly recommend
Highly recommend both the narrator and the novel! A compelling piece of historical fiction, the narrator. Sophie Ward deftly delineates the characters, and bringing them and 18th c. London to life.
