Summary
The highly anticipated follow-up to the New York Times bestseller Beautiful Disaster—now a major motion picture!

Can you love someone too much?

Travis Maddox learned two things from his mother before she died: Love hard. Fight harder.

In Walking Disaster, the life of Travis is full of fast women, underground gambling, and violence. But just when he thinks he is invincible, Abby Abernathy brings him to his knees.

Every story has two sides. In Beautiful Disaster, Abby had her say. Now it’s time to see the story through Travis’s eyes.

Glorifies abusive relationship & I loved this book right out of high school reread as an adult & I'm shocked. From manipulation to near physical abuse & ignoring of red flags. As interesting as this story is it is absolutely ill written because it does a poor job of paralleling PARALLEL stories & as mentioned previously glorifies red flags as true love and abusive relationships as goals...its kind of sad really.

Love love loved it! I’ve never read a book before that shares the same story but from another’s perspective. Nailed it!

Amazing book! Travis and Abby characters are the best combination of good and bad! Normally romances like this can get cheesy, but the writer found a good way to make seem authentic! Definitely a big fan!

I am in my happy place right now. I loved Beautiful Disaster, and I couldn’t wait to get back to Travis and Abby. It was so great to see Travis’ side of the story. However, I would strongly suggest to readers that they read Beautiful Disaster first. Walking Disaster would be hard to read as a stand-alone novel. There were some parts that were glossed over and it would have been really confusing if I hadn’t read the first book. I loved seeing Travis’ reactions to the situations in Beautiful Disaster. One of my favorites was when Abby showed up at his apartment trying to scare him off by dressing like a slob. "I walked into the front room, and there she sat: glasses, her hair all piled on top of her head, and what might have been pajamas. I wouldn’t have been surprised if they’d been molding in the bottom of her laundry hamper. It was so hard not to bust into laughter. Never once had a female come to my apartment dressed like that. My front door had seen jean skirts, dresses, even a see-through tube dress over a string bikini. A handful of times, spackled-on makeup and glitter lotion. Never pajamas." Poor Abby never realized that everything she did to drive him away just made her all the more intriguing to him. Travis is one of my favorite bad boys. As Shepley says, he is bat-shit crazy. But so endearing, you can’t help but fall in love with him. And I love his logic. He is respectful to Abby because she demands it from him, but he doesn’t respect the women who fall over with their legs in the air because they don’t deserve it. I can’t really fault him for that. The only thing that kept this novel from being a 5 star is that without the ability to see inside Abby’s head and to know what she’s thinking, she kind of comes off as a bitch. Thank god I read Beautiful Disaster first or I would have hated her character. Half the time I wondered how Travis could’ve fallen for her when he had no idea what she was thinking or why she acted the way he did. On the flipside, he came off even crazier when I didn’t know what was going on in his head in book 1, so I guess they’re even. Overall, I loved it. And the book was worth reading for the epilogue alone. Jamie McGuire went a decade into the future and we got a fantastic peek into their lives. I finished the book with a happy sigh. Now I’m wondering if she’ll write Trenton’s story. Hint hint.
