Unabridged Audiobook
Few writers can tell a tale as well as Levison Wood, and few explorers have lived a life as exciting and expansive as Levison Wood. Finally, few narrators can share the story as well as Levison Wood. I'm glad he did his own narration. This book checks all the boxes for story and narration; I'll be listening to this book over and over again.
Best travel writer out there! Woods’ travels are always to places I will never personally see, but his incisive and colorful prose allows me to travel vicariously. His combination of adventure storytelling and personal growth and exploration is a winning combination. I’ve read everything he’s written and always came away richer for having done so. This story is no exception. And, as others have said, he’s a great narrator as well.
This was an enjoyable book with excellent narration that gave me a glimpse into an area of the world I knew almost nothing about. Levison did an incredible feat and is a true modern-day adventurer, with a gift of storytelling.
