Unabridged Audiobook
We all know the style and overarching theme of the book already so I will not go over that. This is the same as most of the other books in this particular genre. The protagonist blunders along until something happens to make him consider his current situation then asks the obvious dumb questions. No planning, no obvious thought or questions considered or tried until mid fight. A story of an idiot at the end/rebirth of the world. Not a likeable idiot like a comedy, just an idiot. This and maybe the majority of system or isakai books follow this same trope and this author is the same if not worse than most on things like this. Stupid decision after stupid decision that compounds into conflict that is miraculously won thru luck increasing the strength of our protagonist. The author clearly states that this man had been a gamer and consumed similar literature to the reality that he finds himself in yet he still stubles along like a moron not even bothering to do ANYTHING like check status or assign points or look at skills... nothing but stumble down the road. No self respecting gamer would be so utterly dense to standard game mechanics. If you want him to be oblivious why say he was a gamer and DND player in the first place??? Pretty sure a lot of these are AI generated. Narration is pretty good but I had to increase the speed to avoid things dragging.
I liked it.
Nice start to what sounds like a great story
