Unabridged Audiobook
While the last book was about war, preparing for sieges, and desperately clinging to survival and the hope for a whole race of people, this one feels more about court intrigue. The war story is definitely there though. But I feel like the stronger part of the story was Min's time at court. This story also brought to the forethought of my mind thoughts and internal discussions about revenge, reclamation, oppression, and the acceptable terms of retaliation. If you're reading this, I would like to warn you there are some very gruesome war crimes that happen. Please be prepared. But it is a intriguing and grand follow up to the first book, and definitely keeps me salivating for more
The narrator is awesome!!!
