The Wedding Where Every Painting Lied: A Florence Cozy Mystery of a Murdered Model, Forged Masterpieces, and a Wedding at the Uffizi

Daisy came to Florence for romance.

She gets a rushed wedding, a dead model, and a masterpiece hidden beneath an ugly child.

Irish wedding planner Daisy is finally taking a rare week away from work when Paolo brings her to the elegant apartment of his eighty-year-old aunt Ciara.

The birthday celebration is crowded with art historians, restorers, models, and painters. Before the cake is cut, Ciara’s companion Valentino proposes—and asks Daisy to arrange their wedding at the Uffizi within days.

Daisy has planned impossible weddings before.

She has never planned one around a murder investigation.

Inside an Uffizi restoration studio, Daisy finds a young model strangled and posed like the woman in a mysterious painting. The suspects all belong to Ciara and Valentino’s artistic circle. One had reason for jealousy. One may be creating a forgery. Several had access to the studio.

Then Daisy discovers a murder weapon above her bedroom.

An attic connects the neighboring apartments. Antique paints have vanished. A dog uncovers hidden canvases. Strange highlights in painted eyes begin to resemble a code.

As the wedding approaches, Daisy must separate originals from copies, romance from deception, and artistic ambition from murderous obsession.

Every answer leads to another painting.

Warm, witty, and filled with Italian atmosphere, The Wedding Where Every Painting Lied is a cozy mystery featuring a middle-aged wedding-planner sleuth, a secretive Italian investigator, a lovable black dog, a last-minute museum wedding, looted-art history, hidden masterpieces, eccentric suspects, and a complete murder solution.
