Unabridged Audiobook
This book helped me understand how the teachings of Bill Gothard entered my life as a child even though I was not part of the IBLP. This realization has helped me heal in multiple ways. This book was beautifully written, the imagery is exceptional and the story shines a light on a reality about culture in the United States.
Tia’s story is remarkable. Couldn’t stop listening
I started the book knowing that Tia’s treatment by her husband would make me mad, and I was right. Watching her do the ‘hard work’ and grow was very impressive. I am glad she was able to end in what sounds like a good place. I hope her children were able to get the therapy they needed. I think it is good that she didn’t try to tell their story in the book.
Loved it! It hit home in many ways!
I loved this book! Teal lays out her past in a really relatable way!
