When God Responded: A Gay Catholic's Search for Affirmation

When faith, identity, and mortality collide, one man’s search for truth becomes a life-changing journey.

In 1987, at the age of 37, I was confronted with a diagnosis that changed everything: AIDS. Suddenly, the questions I had wrestled with since college—about God, life after death, and my place in the world as a gay man—took on new urgency.

This audiobook chronicles my spiritual quest through sacred places and moments of profound honesty. Along the way, I sought proof that God exists and that Heaven is real—and what I found was far more powerful: evidence that divine love reaches even the most uncertain souls.

When God Responded: A Gay Man's Search for Affirmation is a deeply personal, brutally honest, and ultimately hopeful exploration of faith and identity. It’s for anyone who has ever doubted, searched, or yearned to believe that God embraces every seeker—no matter how imperfect.
