Roxsanna Roberts has sworn off men entirely. She's a self-sufficient, independent woman and doesn't need any man, thank you very much.

Especially when that man is Travis Hayes, the dangerously attractive MMA fighter that teaches the kickboxing class she takes for self-defense . . . because a restraining order is just a piece of paper.

She learned that lesson the hard way.

When trouble finds her in Melody Hills, she decides it's time for a Texas sized change; take her best friend up on his offer and move to Northern Michigan. As it becomes clear that her every move is being watched, she grudgingly accepts when Travis insists on escorting her on her move across the country, where she's bound and determined to start a new life. Alone.

But when she and Travis get stranded in the middle of nowhere during a thunderstorm, their only option is to take refuge at a tiny motel—with only one bed—and surrender to the desire they've both been fighting against.

As Roxy's guard is torn down like a straw house in a tornado, she realizes too late that she underestimated the danger coming for her . . . and the lengths being taken to keep her out of Travis's arms for good.
