I was not expecting and didn’t appreciate a story where Christians go to live with indigenous people and try to convert them. I used to be a Christian but after reading about how the Indian children were forcefully removed from their families and sent to Christian schools where they were brainwashed and brutalized if they didn’t convert and now seeing how the religious right have endorsed Trump I have no respect for them. We take their land and their traditions and introduce numerous diseases.
