THE OVERNIGHT VIRAL SENSATION AND NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

The bestselling phenomenon, When the Moon Hatched, is a fast-paced fantasy romance featuring an immersive, vibrant world with mysterious creatures, a unique magic system, and a love that blazes through the ages.

The Creators did not expect their beloved dragons to sail skyward upon their end. To curl into balls just beyond gravity’s grip, littering the sky with tombstones. With moons. They certainly did not expect them to FALL.

As an assassin for the rebellion group Fíur du Ath, Raeve’s job is to complete orders and never get caught. When a rival bounty hunter turns her world upside down, blood spills, hearts break, and Raeve finds herself imprisoned by the Guild of Nobles—a group of powerful fae who turn her into a political statement.

Crushed by the loss of his great love, Kaan Vaegor took the head of a king and donned his melted crown. Now on a tireless quest to quell the never-ebbing ache in his chest, he is lured by a clue into the capitol’s high-security prison where he stumbles upon the imprisoned Raeve …

Echoes of the past race between them.

There’s more to their story than meets the eye, but some truths are too poisonous to swallow.

"A wild ride that thrills as much as it enchants . . . This remarkable book is an instant classic.” — Thea Guanzon, New York Times bestselling author of The Hurricane Wars

“When The Moon Hatched breathes new, beautiful life into the genre, as Sarah A. Parker weaves lyrical prose with undeniable chemistry. I laughed, I cried, I got everything out of this. It’s an absolutely stunning fantasy world that everyone should sink their teeth into.” — Raven Kennedy, New York Times bestselling author of The Plated Prisoner series

I could not stand the writing. I listened to the whole thing and I still did not understand what was going on.

Very good read. I can't wait for the next book. as far as the Narrators, the female reader was too whiney everytime she read for Raeve. It was hard to listen at points.

The female narrator's intonation sucks! Her voice is good but the intonation makes it hard to concentrate. This takes away from an otherwise very promising story. I'm not even halfway through and considering DNF-ing this or looking for the paperback version

When I first listened to the book I was overwhelmed but as I started understanding the world, and falling in love with the characters I was addicted! This book has made me laugh out loud, cry, angry, confused, and made me clutch my pearls! I still have so many unanswered questions but I am excited for book 2 when it comes out in May of 2026! Overall this is one of my favorite books I have read!

A hundred percent this book is overhyped. the only reason I finished it; was for Kaan. I disagreed with almost every decision the main female character made and I just found her ability to self sabotage, rather painful. So many times I found her ability to fight her own healing tiresome and draining. 2.75 out of 5 Sadly, I will be seeing how this trilogy ends. I want to know if some of my predictions are correct.

I was so excited for this book and it just didn't hold up to the expectation. There were a few very touching parts as the story wrapped up, which is why I gave it 3 stars.

Profile Avatar Hollie Jul 2025

Lots of adventure, a rich fantasy world, and a whole lot of intrigue. I really wish book 2 was out!

The story was top notch. Fell in love with all the characters and the world. Highly recommend.

I had seen several people through social media promoting this book. I read it, hoping to cure a book hangover, and found it disappointing for my tastes. I'm sure this book is a 5 star for others, however I found it hard to get into. I was on page 200 when I finally had the smallest inkling of an interest in the characters. The main character doesn't remember her past and you only know what she does which is part of the reason this book was so hard to follow. Personally I like a little more of a background to help the flow of the book.

fairly good book

Very underwhelming. It was a DNF after listening for 3+ hours. Very slow to pick up and I did not like the child's point of view.

This book leaves me at a loss for words. I’m an avid reader of all kinds of books but this one? My goodness does it just take your breath away. The book itself is absolutely incredible and the narrators do a fantastic job. It does take some time to get used to the monotone like voice at first but you realize it’s for separation of thoughts and character and the character voices are beautifully done for the woman and the man. There’s are accents and I’d assume it’s only one person for the man and woman so you have to be understanding of those factors. Once yo get used to it’s absolutely wonderful for the experience. 10/10 I can’t wait for the next book.

Love the creativity of the story. Beautiful writing. It has definitely become one of my favorite books. Was not a fan of the male narrator's voice. Almost too deep to hear personality or understand his words.

Profile Avatar Brittney W. May 2024

Loves the writing. Very refreshing. The female narrator did alright, but it felt stilted and awkward, almost like it was old school text to speech.
