Where Nightmares

One night things come to our world through dreams and take the form of our nightmares.

Then they start eating people. The lucky ones get killed first.

My nightmares happen when I'm in a deep meditative state and my mind is blank except for self-awareness.

So it appears as a living reflection of me, and always will, which makes killing me to eat my remains impossible for it. Instead, it must keep me alive in order for it to live.
