Summary
This expanded edition features a new bonus chapter where John answers the top Wild at Heart questions.

Every man was once a boy.  And every little has dreams, big dreams,  dreams of being the hero, of beating the bad guys, of doing daring feats and rescuing the damsel in distress. Every little girl has dreams, too: of being rescued by her prince and swept up into a great adventure, knowing that she is the beauty.

But what happens to those dreams when we grow up? Walk into most churches, have a look around, and ask yourself: What is a Christian man?  Without listening to what is said, look at what you find there. Most Christian men are . . . bored.

John Eldredge revises and updates his best-selling, renowned Christian classic, Wild at Heart, and in it invites men to recover their masculine heart, defined in the image of a passionate God. And he invites women to discover the secret of a man’s soul and to delight in the strength and wildness men were created to offer.  John Eldredge is the director of Ransomed Heart

Very impactful for me. I had red the book years ago but to go through it again now as a father of a young son had extea meaning. Thank you.

A must for any man. John Eldredge has quickly become one of my favorite authors. He speaks from a man's perspective and made me really think about who I am as a man and how that affects my relationships with my wife and two sons. I got The Way of the Wild Heart before this one and it awakened my soul. Therefore, I was anxious for this one and it did not disappoint.

My Fiance and I had to read this book and Captivating by Eldredge's wife for pre-maritial counseling. Wild at Heart has some good points, but they are overshadowed by Eldredge's poor reading/speaking abilities. Would much rather stick to books supported by Famiy Life, as Eldredge seems a bit over the top on some of his theology.

Awful! I found John Eldredge to be over the top and too dramatic for my taste. I couldn't even get through the series.

John Eldredge has found a key to how and why men behave as they do. This is truly an inspirational help for any man who asks himself why he believes and acts the way he does. This particular edition is narrated by Eldredge himself, and his passion of what he has to share is evident, and refreshing. This is not another dull "listen and forget it later" book. This book will really inspire you to be the man God wants you to be.
