I actually loved it. its a good listen

One of the better autobiographies of a star. Will is raw, honest, and seems to have really worked on himself over the years to have the perspective he does. He is so relatable as he is growing up too. I really enjoyed listening to him narrate the stories. This is definitely one of those selections that is deeply enhanced by narration as opposed to reading it in hardback. Love the comedic timing and energy! Totally recommend this book-- especially in audio format.

This book resonated so well with me. I totally loved the transparency of Will as well as the production of it. Took me back and opened a lot of unresolved challenges I am faced with. It also reminded me that we are all human in the same way and all with similar challenges and thoughts. Totally recommend it.

Difficult upbringing, real life experience, relatable within the Family, fun delivery, brings back memories. Good to listen again.

I Ioved the frank honest & funny look back at Will Smiths life. the things he shares are touching at times & at many points I actually lol'd. Well worth a read

Loved the book.. easy to listen too.. great biography

The first twelve hours was great. The detailed time line through the early hip hop days was awesome and inspired me to bust out my old “Parents just don’t understand “ 12” single. As soft as it is. I even tolerated the countless mentions of him being the best hip hop outfit in the world but if I heard him refer to himself one more time as “The biggest Movie Star on the Planet” I was going to cry. The sheer narcissism in the last few hours was such a shame. The message was clear hours earlier. Will, you didn’t have to bash the listener unresponsive with your self empowered superiority. I would have given it five stars if it finished a few hours earlier.

Great book!

Entertaining, but this man’s ego knows no bounds. Meh.

I think if I just judged what happened at the Oscars without this book, I'd say Will Smith's actions were totally unjustified. After reading this book, his actions were still unjustified but I understand why he had the need protect his loved one. I enjoyed this very much, but I don't think I'll look at Will the same way again.
