Excellent comprehensive overview of the career, character and personality of Hillary Clinton, from the time of Bill's courtship of her through her service as a United States Senator, with lots of review of President Clinton's travails while in office. Painful to revisit the personal traumas and missteps of Clinton's presidency and the opposing forces determined to destroy them both, but valuable background if Hillary should seek the presidency.
This was an interesting, inside story of Hillary and Bill Clinton. You don't have to agree with her politics to understand how and why she acted as she did (agree or disagree with how we might have acted). Thought it was well written and almost unbiased.
Be you a fan of Hillary Clinton or not, this biography provides a good analysis of the woman who will continue to be a major presence on the world stage. It also provides a good recap of the healthcare reform debate under the Clintons. Maybe one day we can put party politics and personal vendettas aside and get this done. Will 2009-2010 be the time?
Very hard to keep up with all the names being tossed around. A bit dry and predictable by the end. I didn't even finish it.
Better than I expected. I had a fuller understanding of HRC by the end of the book, but still wouldn't vote for her.
A good look into the life of Hillary Rodham Clinton with a deep dive into Clinton presidency. I learned alot that I didn't know, and was reminded of things that I did know. My only criticism is that the narrative seemed to jump around somewhat, making it hard to follow at times.
