Women of History: Karnataka's Forgotten Heroes - Tales of Courage, Patriotism and Inspiring Fortitude

FROM THE SHORES OF ULLAL TO THE HEART OF THE DECCAN A HISTORY WRITTEN IN FIRE.

For too long, the legends of Karnataka have been dictated by conquerors, relegating the true history of valor to whispers. But historian Dr. Asha Rao is about to challenge the official record. Her discovery of three silent artifacts: A Portuguese battle dispatch, a scroll carrying an ancient ballad, and a powerful Mughal decree, opens a portal to three extraordinary lives that history was determined to forget. Step into the exhilarating, fictionalized lives of the Deccan's Lionesses:

- Rani Abbakka: The coastal queen who used brilliant guerrilla naval warfare to ensure the technologically superior Portuguese never claimed the spice ports of Ullal'
- Belawadi Mallamma: The fearless warrior queen who, on horseback, faced down the elite forces of Chatrapati Shivaji, earning the Martha leader's awe and respect through sheer, unyielding courage born of grief.
- Keladi Chennamma: The political master who risked total annihilation to uphold the code of honor, weaponizing the Malnad forests to outwit the mighty Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb when he demanded the surrender of a fugitive prince.

Women of History is a novel of Patriotism, fortitude, and strategic genius. It is a demand to reclaim the stories that prove the spirit of Indian freedom was born not in 1857, but centuries earlier, and it was championed by queens.
