Unabridged Audiobook
Hadn’t read this since I was a child, lovely to hear such a good story again.
I love the movie but I think the book is a lot better
Very enjoyable and easy to follow
For the time of the book being wrote the story line was good. It was a big shock hearing the difference in book vs the movie. Which I never compare the two whenever there is a movie based on the book. But it was a nice change, very eye opening. The narrator was absolutely horrible. He would get stuck on several words, smack his lips and leave big gaps of pauses as he was reading. Therefore taking me out of story and being distracted by the narrator. Also at the end of each chapter going into the next the volume would change so dramatically that it would hurt your ears if wearing earbuds. Don’t listen to this book in the office as you might find yourself jumping out of the chair as I did.
I hadn't read the book. It was a fun listen. The difference between it and the movie surprised me. I'd love a remake of the movie. The technologies today would do it Justice.
Well read, classic story loved it
Was good but guy messed up a little bit every once in a while
I grew up loving the movie as a child but had never read the book. It was a fun and easy listen, a great children’s book for sure.
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is a great story but I’d like a bit more enthusiasm
The book was great! Really enjoyed it.
Hard to get engrossed in the world of Oz because at EVERY chapter the flow was interrupted by a reminder that this was a Librivox recording.... Originally, I intended to listen to the entire Oz series; now I’m not sure I’ll bother. The narrator otherwise did a good job.
I didn't like it
