Unabridged Audiobook
Funny and Worth the listen! 5 star book!! but there is a sudden change of narrator voice from male to female voice in there to tell another point of view part of the story... but it dos not work for me.. i hope this warning, I wish i had can help make it better. thats why i give the narrator 4 stars.. almost 3 stars...if this happens in the other books as well, i will not buy them tbh....
Isakai into a world with game mechanics. Of course we have the standard idiotic tropes throughout. The MC is bordering on unlikeable and evil. He makes decisions sometimes that anyone with even half a brain would not. The good guys are evil and the bad guys are good as is the usual trope of this generations writers. What may be the worst trope of all is the not checking menus or experimenting with the interface in a world that has such things. You do not "discover" a new ability that you have had fron the start days after arrival. It isn't a "meet cute" of a man and a skill. Check your menus or remove the game like aspects and menus entirely. 99% of your readers would have read or memorized every single bit of menu or status information that we could access before the end of day 1. We will be in volume 10 before he figures out a skill he has had from the start because checking menus would be far to difficult. The author even jokes about the trope early on in the book then continues to use it later. Again, if you do not integrate game mechanics in a way a gamer would use those mechanics in that situation then levae them out completely. If you dont want him to read menus, dont give him access to menus. If you want him to be a hero for the repressed and downtrodden monsters of the world, fine, but at least make him less cowardly and more heroic.
