enjoyable and engaging, though it is a bit stilted at times but it somewhat fits the narration. I don't know the history enough to check the specifics but the overall big events check out and are wild! Quite amazing that Harold lived through all these situations, the age of the book is somewhat showing in the fact the French are displayed as evil/mean spirited Vs the virtuous English, which is quite cringey nationalism.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the story was, since it was a free.

I listened to this audiobook because I love the narrator. He had narrated Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. He is an absolutely wonderful narrator. The book was very interesting.

Very good novel with nice historical accuracies

Easily one of the better free books on this website if you enjoy historical fiction. I've actually listened to it several times since downloading it. Highly recommended.
