The story was very good and kept you guessing a bit until the very end. i have never had to rewind/relisten so often it was very difficult to concentrate on a complex story/plot because of the narrators. some of who really struggled with the nuances of language

As always, this author delivers a many layered story which shows us the morals and lifestyles of a bygone era, while holding our attention with a mysterious plot full of colorful characters and many a surprising turn of events. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Even though some of the narrators were rather fine, others seemed to struggle to get through their portions of this long volume, and that somewhat diminished the experience.
