Unabridged Audiobook
The narrator is competent and tries to infuse some life into barely two dimensional characters. The writing isn’t even terrible, it’s just painfully pedestrian. Some cozy mysteries are delightfully B-movie badly written. Osmond, Thoroughgood, Beaton and Hendy are some examples of very well written and amusing to hilarious and with Osmond, some very poignant writing, with well developed quirky, but plausible characters. Unfortunately, the main character in this book is pure cheap vanilla extract; [potential spoiler removed] Painfully pedestrian, only amusing due to complete plodding predictably.
