Martin Lake was born and raised in England. After graduating from the University of East Anglia, he worked as a teacher, trainer and lecturer before turning his focus to writing. In the past few years, Lake has written eight novels, including A Love Most Dangerous and The Flame of Resistance. He currently resides on the French Riviera with his wife.
