Michael Tetteh was born in the Volta region of Ghana. His soccer career began early in life, playing for the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana before moving to California. Tetteh's professional career began when he signed a Generation Adidas contract with Major League Soccer and was drafted by the Seattle Sounders, where he played for two years. Tetteh founded One Kingdom Foundation, a nonprofit organization that seeks to be a catalyst for a new generation of African leaders with honorable character. He is also a certified John C. Maxwell leadership coach and speaker who leads businesses and individuals to set smart goals and overcome tremendous odds.
