Lester del Rey (born June 2, 1915, died May 10, 1993) was both a writer of Juvenile Science Fiction, and editor of Del Rey Books. He was closely associated with the magazine Astounding Science-Fiction (edited by John Campbell). Lester has been awarded the Skylark Award (1972), the Balrog Special Award (1985), and the Grand Master Award (1990).
