William Link, an author, screenwriter, and producer, created the character of Lieutenant Columbo with Richard Levinson in the early 1960s. The character was made famous on television by Peter Falk, whose comic timing brought life to the idiosyncratic homicide detective. Link is also the author of The Columbo Collection.
