J. L. McWilliams is the author of The MacHugh Memoirs, a series of historical adventure novels based on a Canadian adventurer, Rory MacHugh, in the early 1800s. McWilliams has also coauthored several books with R. James Steel, including Amiens: Dawn of Victory, The Suicide Battalion, and Gas!: The Battle for Ypres, 1915.
