John L. DeBoer graduated from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, completed a surgical residency in the US Army, and spent three years in the Army Medical Corps as a general surgeon. Thirty years of private practice later, he retired and began a new career as a writer. He is a member of International Thriller Writers and has published more than ten novels.
