Malaina Kapoor is a writer who served on the management team of PRERNA, an Afghan refugee resettlement organization. As a PEN America Fellow, she advocated for international human rights and press freedoms. Malaina was also a producer of In Deep, a nationally syndicated public affairs radio broadcast program. She has received national awards for her poetry, personal essays, and short stories. She will graduate from Stanford University in 2025.
