Jack Loeffler is a poet, folklorist, ethnomusicologist, radio producer, activist, philosopher, and writer. He is the author of Survival Along the Continental Divide: An Anthology of Interviews (UNM Press), Adventures with Ed: A Portrait of Abbey (UNM Press) and Headed Upstream: Interviews with Iconoclasts (Harbinger House). He is founder of the Black Mesa Defense Fund, which organized Hopi Indians of Arizona against Peabody Coal.
