Hurt has appeared in numerous films including Bringing Out the Dead and The Age of Innocence, both directed by Martin Scorsese; the Paul Schrader directed films Affliction and Light Sleeper; and Interiors, directed by Woody Allen. She was nominated for a Tony Award for her performances in the Broadway shows Benefactors, Crimes of the Heart and Trelawney of the Wells. Her television appearances include Law & Order and Working it Out.
