DR. LAUREL SHALER is a professor at Liberty University, where she serves in the Department of Counselor Education and Family Studies. As a licensed social worker and national certified counselor, Laurel is a writer and speaker on faith, culture, and emotional well-being. In addition to academic writing, Laurel has been published by Lifeway's Journey, To Save a Life, For Every Mom, P31 Woman Magazine, Just Between Us Magazine, and more.
