Kathleen Cormack was born in Chicago, Illinois (not going to mention the year-: -). She loved writing as a child and can still recall the memory of hearing her fifth grade teacher reading her short story to the class. He was more impressed with her story than any of her classmates' stories. He and several of her classmates commented that it was a "really good story." It wouldn't take long for Kathleen to realize that she had a creative imagingation.
