Unabridged Audiobook
I really enjoyed the first book with the Lula Landry case, but I REALLY loved this second novel in the the Strike series. The author is so incredible at describing not only scenery to make it simple to see the story in the reader’s mind, but the way he builds each character so simply clear is what I love. You just get to know each one of them by his description of them, and it just makes me want to listen more and more. I will admit, at times, that my mind did trail off, but that’s only because of how in-depth the writing is while painting the whole picture for the reader. I still was able to follow, and I can’t WAIT to listen to it again to catch anything j may have missed. Great book. Loved it! I’m very excited about the third one!!!
I haven't been disappointed in any of the titles I'm this series yet keeps me coming back for more!
Wondeful wonderful narrator, will be looking into other books he's narrated b/c he was so good. I REALLY liked this book. The writing is great and keeps you interested, even if it's tangenting off/ giving back story/ over describing scenery so you can really visualize it: i tend to skip over over described things that don't feel necessary to the story: but JK really knows how to keep it interesting and doesn't really describe too much that is not necessary, so I never have that issue. I liked this story a lot better than the first Strike book. The storyline/of the first book really weren't my normal type of mystery book; I tend to read historical fiction detective novels, and especially not when the topic talks about some high fashion celebrity types: I only read because JK wrote it: BUT I was still interested the whole time because of her writing style/ was engaging, and I liked Strike and Robins characters and really wanted to see where they would go, so even though I didn't LOVE the storyline from the first one, it was enticing enough and I wanted to read this one. This storyline, while still not historical fiction, was still more my type of storyline. It does get a little gross at times and I worried how much more that would follow: but it stayed manageable and I was really surprised at the twist and couldn't wait to get back in my car to commute to continue listening.
I enjoyed this book. Narrator was excellent. Looking forward to the last book in the series!
Love it as much as the first in the series. Excellent series! Enjoyed the narrator as well.
I did not like this book as much as the first one in the series. The story was hard to follow and not that interesting. I still really like the narrartor, though.
The book was good I got lost a lot! I think it's going to be one I listen to a few times to get all the little details.
Liked it better than the first book The Cuckoo's Calling. The next in the series Career of Evil is on my list to read soon.
This book was a waste of my time. The narrator was ok.
This is the second Galbraith I have listened to and loved it as much as the first. Excellent narration and the story keeps you going.
First ever audiobook and absolutely loved the book and the narration. Completed the book in less than a week and it usually takes me forever to finish a book !
Great boo! I love the characters and the narrator did a great job keeping you entertained!
Fantastic book and the narration was perfection. I missed my exit to work numerous times because I was so involved in the story.
I enjoyed this book and the narration. The characters were well developed and she is a natural story-teller. I'm waiting for the next one!
I have enjoyed JK Rowlings other novels but absolutely fell in love with the Cormoran Strike novels.
For those who don't know this book is written by J.K. Rowling's the lady who wrote all the Harry Potter books. she writes under a different name for this stuff because it is a bit darker than harry potter.
This book started out slow, but really grabbed my attention through the first few chapters.
Thoroughly enjoyable! Fantastic narration with amazing voices for the different characters.
Not easy to follow with British Accent so strong. Big disappointment.
ridiculously good. not overly suspenseful, nor were the characters' situations too pat to be real. in fact, the characters were so well-developed and robert glennister's portrayal of them each was so spot on, i was sad when this book ended. can't wait for book three! jk rowling has done it again...
Loved it! The plot was good and the continuity of the characters from the first book The Cuckoo's Calling was maintained. The narration was excellent. When is the next book coming out!
Amazing book!! Loved it! Can't wait for the next one!
I really enjoyed this book. Very enthralling, especially as an audiobook the narrator is fantastic!
