NOW A HIT NETFLIX SERIES
A NEW YORK TIMES AND USA TODAY BESTSELLER

“Hypnotic and scary.” —Stephen King

“I am riveted, aghast, aroused, you name it. The rare instance when prose and plot are equally delicious.” —Lena Dunham

From debut author Caroline Kepnes comes You, one of Suspense Magazine’s Best Books of the Year, and a brilliant and terrifying novel for the social media age.

When a beautiful, aspiring writer strides into the East Village bookstore where Joe Goldberg works, he does what anyone would do: he Googles the name on her credit card.

There is only one Guinevere Beck in New York City. She has a public Facebook account and Tweets incessantly, telling Joe everything he needs to know: she is simply Beck to her friends, she went to Brown University, she lives on Bank Street, and she’ll be at a bar in Brooklyn tonight—the perfect place for a “chance” meeting.

As Joe invisibly and obsessively takes control of Beck’s life, he orchestrates a series of events to ensure Beck finds herself in his waiting arms. Moving from stalker to boyfriend, Joe transforms himself into Beck’s perfect man, all while quietly removing the obstacles that stand in their way—even if it means murder.

A terrifying exploration of how vulnerable we all are to stalking and manipulation, debut author Caroline Kepnes delivers a razor-sharp novel for our hyper-connected digital age. You is a compulsively readable page-turner that’s being compared to Gone Girl, American Psycho, and Stephen King’s Misery.

The style Does take some time to get use to but once you do, it is wonderful!! I listen to 2 audiobooks a week and this narrator was by far my favorite ever! I couldn’t wait to finish this book and was sad once I had. Great read!

This novel is both romantic and disturbing at the same time. It is masterfully and uniquely written in the second person. If you enjoy watching television shows like "Snapped" and the "Investigation Discovery" channel, then this read is right up your alley!

Where do I begin? One, this is told in second-person. It's not often you come across a Second POV or one that is done as well as this. The narrator made the words come to life so well that there were times when I was actually rooting for him, like "oh come on he's not so bad." Then of course I remembered how nuts the guy is. That's what makes the book so good. The author not only inserts hilarious liners but makes this crazy obsessive guy sound charming as well. You can see why the women in the story fall for him. What makes this story absolutely creepy is this is most likely an accurate "look inside" of what goes on in the mind of an obsessed stalker. It also makes you rethink the use of your social media accounts and just how vulnerable you are to complete strangers. This would make an amazing movie.

The best part of this listening is the narrator... he is awesome and makes the character come to life (I finished the book and I started watching the movie to see how it was put into pictures and I must say that the narrator has a better voice that the actual actor - I only watched the first episode though). About the story: I like the story, I find it original and how the main character is created is very nice. The fact that he has so much luck in a lot of situations is a little... meh! When I was a little past the half of the book, I started getting bored and staid bored for about half an hour or so, but the twist there made me stay. I did not expect the ending, but now seeing that there is another book.. oh well... I am still wondering if I should listen to the new book, we'll see. If I knew there would be a sequel, I would have not read it and I would have missed it, so this is a good thing.

This was just torture to listen to. It was just hours of pretentious, repetitive whining. I wasn't rooting for a single character in this. Great premise, TERRIBLE writing.

Wow. This was fun to hear - the narrator was awesome and made Joe totally come to life! It’s scary when you can’t help but like the Psycho-Path... it’s even scary when the narrator reads him so well that you find yourself- dare I say it- turned on by him! Good story- different take with some steamy romps and chilling details. Would recommend for someone who likes a bit of edge and has a dark sense of humor.

I hope this makes it to the screen! Caroline Kepnes is an amazing author. Not for those who get offended by vulgar language.

Very interesting book. A very plausible look at modern day stalking. The book is definitely a thriller and the ending was not what I expected. The narrator is great and has wonderful tone. Does individual voices well and is even able to portray what the person is thinking separately from their speaking voice.

ok. I know that Joe is toxic, a psychopath and seriously unhinged. but in a weird way he is showing his unbound love to Beck. he willingness to go beyond what is normal for love and to be loved. I'm not going to lie and say it isnt hot. even though you know Joe is definitely not someone you should back up or admire he drags you in and makes you feel, makes you understand his thoughts on why what he does is right even though they arent. this book is a masterpiece, genius. and the narrator is Devine. perfect novel.

Absolutely captivating! I listened to the whole novel in one day. I've watched the first season on Netflix and my friend had recommended reading the novel. I'm glad she did, because I was sucked into the storyline and both disturbed and turned on. I love criminal minds and I think it’s so interesting being able to get into the mind of the killer and being able to see how they rationalize their actions. The narrator did an amazing job at reading and taking on the female voice in a way that wasn’t laughable. I look forward to listening to the next book.

This was my favorite narration of an audio book so far. I really was hooked on listening to Joe and found myself empathizing with him. I could listen to this story again and not get bored. Very entertaining and kept me hooked.

I loved it! I have read all of last summer's must reads, all of Gillian Flynn, A Girl on the Train and I liked this the best. I had some unanswered questions like how/why was he in the cage and what happened to him, how did the framing at the end turn out. The character was great but the narrator even better! Fun! I'm sure we'll see it become a movie someday.

Repetitive and predictable. The quasi-intellectual main characters drove me nuts. I've read their beloved Paula Fox but hopefully don't bore everyone I meet with the fact. This was truly irritating to finish.

Riveting. Terrifying Can't put down. Loved the narration.

I loved this creepy foray into the twisted mind of a serial stalker. Told from the stalkers point of view, he is very good at convincing himself and You, that he is just some love sick guy who will stop at nothing to get the girl of his dreams. I could not stop listening. I really enjoyed the insanely sexy narration by Santino Fontana, to bad he is playing a complete psycho!
