Read this book three times. Watch the movie every time it is on. Loooooooved listening to it. Wish he would have just said “lexi whines” for everytime Lexi has a line. I can see why she was completely different in the movie.

Michael Crichton is absolutely amazing. What can be said that has already been said! Jurassic Park was one of my favorite and still is one of my favorite films of all time. Didn’t realize that the movie was based off a book until I? was a teenager always told myself that I? wanted to read the book, to see if there were any major changes from the book to the movie. There were not that many changes. While reading the book I? could visualize the film while reading it. Absolutely loved it!

"Jurrasic Park" was very enjoyable to listen to in content. The narrator was very good, not exceptional but talented no doubt. He does a good job moving between voices and characters. He (Mr.Brick) seems to have developed his own interpretation of each characters persona and understandings. The book is completely different than the movie and i prefer it and think that these characters are much more like what i would imagine them. The decidely arrogant and slightly obnoxious mathmetician, filled with hubris. The dogged, stodgy, and hegemonic billionaire The intelligent but somewhat obsequious scientist, and on and on. These characters made more sense than the movies iterations, and i enjoyed the departure. The level of detail and the exploration of each characters inner mind was fascinating. This was over all a fun listen and kept me interested. I have been excited to get in my car to begin listening again. I believe that virtually everyone who listens will be pleased.

over all I think it's great. loved the characters. loved some of the scenes you don't see in the movie. There is definitely a lot of drama with Crichton, but over all his stories are pretty great. He does sometimes go on scientific rants about things that don't really affect the story, and the character Malcolm does go in philosophical rants that contradict themselves on more than one occasion. But they're also short enough that I never was really bothered by it. Narration is pretty good. Nothing ground breaking, but you can understand him and generally tell the characters apart by the voices.

Such a good book!!!! I love the films as well (I'm into dinosaurs in whatever shape), but the book is seriously good. Very different than the films but super entertaining and detailed. Gives a lot of background on the different characters, no real super heroes which is very refreshing. Some very annoying characters, which makes it believable. The narrator is very good, I was a little unconvinced during the first two minutes but he's good! The dinos are all there, the raptors are the best, the T-Rexes are pretty... Just go for it, it's a h*ll of a ride!

    Still my favorite book

  • Archie Worsham

First time listening to the book that caused me to love reading. Was not disappointed. Narration was good. I wish the lagoon and river scenes would have made the movie.

  • Arch N.

Much better than the movie with details and background explained. Narration was great had me interested and even without my hearing aids I could understand him. So glad I listened to this on my cross-country drive.

  • Terry W.

Exciting story, well written, brilliantly narrated and dinosaurs- what’s not to like? I enjoyed the detailed background information which you don’t have in the film. Scott Brick is another narrator I will be pleased to listen to again.

  • Brock Liden

Amazing how much I had forgot from the book after watching the movie numerous times the books has so much depth and development. Well worth the listen to rember the full story behind the movie phenomenon

  • Martin T.

Its funny, but I have probably seen Jurasic Park at least 20 times since it came out! I never realized that the book was so good! Just love it!

  • Matthew B.

The book is 10,000x better than the movie! So much more to the story. Characters are more realized, though Lexi is particularly annoying. Narrator is good, and read each character well. I’ll definitely visit this one again.

  • Margaret C.

I think it was better than the movie Anthropologie

  • Maria L.

The BEST DAMN BOOK EVER!!! Amazing! 10/10!

  • Rosemary C.

Good book. Kept trying to compare book to movie but could not. Book was better. More detail. Narrator was good.

  • Jon E.

  • Jade Grace W.

Brilliant book, film and audiobook. I can’t get enough of this story.

  • Kelly D.

I loved the movie, loved this book. The book was just as good as the movie, different story line to the movie, wonderful narrator, handled male and female voices perfectly. Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Great for young or old.

  • meaghan n

narrator didn't do a very good job on this book. the second book in the series that he narrated, he did a wonderful job. I don't know why he was so monotone in this one. this is one book that I do have to say is very similar to the movie, so if like me, you saw the movie first and loved it, then you will love the book as well, if not more!

  • Brian P

Awesome book, narration was great and suspenseful. Loved it!

  • Veronica Atkinson

Nope...one character was so irritating...never wanted a character to "buy the farm" to this degree! It was slow and boring at the beginning and only mildly interesting in between! An unfortunate waste of money and time.

  • Alicia Laucirica

great story, and one of my fa sci fi movies. decided to listen to the audio. but is it just me or is crichton a little bit nationalist, i find him always putting down other countries... but good book
