In the compulsively readable sequel to her widely acclaimed debut novel, You, Caroline Kepnes weaves a tale that Booklist calls “the love child of Holden Caulfield and Patrick Bateman.”

In Hidden Bodies, the basis for season two of the hit Netflix series, You, Joe Goldberg returns.

Joe is no stranger to hiding bodies. In the past ten years, this thirty-something has buried four of them, collateral damage in his quest for love. Now he’s heading west to Los Angeles, the city of second chances, determined to put his past behind him.

In Hollywood, Joe blends in effortlessly with the other young upstarts. He eats guac, works in a bookstore, and flirts with a journalist neighbor. But while others seem fixated on their own reflections, Joe can’t stop looking over his shoulder. The problem with hidden bodies is that they don’t always stay that way. They reemerge, like dark thoughts, multiplying and threatening to destroy what Joe wants most: true love. And when he finds it in a darkened room in Soho House, he’s more desperate than ever to keep his secrets buried. He doesn’t want to hurt his new girlfriend—he wants to be with her forever. But if she ever finds out what he’s done, he may not have a choice…

I love this author and these 2 books! I hope there are more! Joe is psycho yet likable for some ungodly reason! And the narrator does a great job reading and giving the book life.

So different from the Netflix series. I heard Season 3 will be loosely based on this book. The narrator is great!

Awesome book! It’s much different than the show, but still amazing. While the show has gotten a little stale, the book kept me on the edge of my seat wanting more! Also the narrator is absolutely perfect, sounds very similar to the actor that plays Joe on the show!! Very easy transition!

I loved You. this book wasnt as good unfortunately. I think that it will still be a good series, but this book lacked what Joe had in You. the narrator once again was amazing!

Pretty good listen. Character names were odd, Love and Forty (a tennis reference) but so were they. Could have used a bit more from the narrator to jazz it up, but all in all it was an ok book.

Love Joe. One of my favorite narrators.

I read You years ago while on vacation and couldn’t put it down. Hidden Bodies was just as enjoyable.

I enjoyed the first book so much! this second was predictable... typical. Moves cross country falls in love becomes a new man blah blah. I expected better
