This was a fun book. The narrator wasn’t bad but could have been better.
This author needs a better editor and a refresher on how to write conversations between characters without simply stating "she said" back and forth endlessly. Surely one of the characters could have replied, responded, or objected at least once.
The plot was interesting, it's a shame there wasn't actually much of it.
It’s a story about a beautiful friendship with a hint of possession.
I enjoyed this book immensely! It was fantasticly written and if you grew up in the 80's & 90's there are tons of things you can relate to. But it is not just for that generation. The way the writer ramped up the storyline was great. The narrator also did a wonderful job of bringing in the creep factor. I would recommend this book
This is a genuinely creepy homage to young adult horror novels of 80s and 90s. It’s very well written and I would recommend it to anyone who likes horror or wants an interesting read.
There are scenes throughout that were genuinely scary and gave me the creeps with the amazing narration giving it so much tension and realism that I had to stop once or twice to take a small break.
This isnt the most brutal horror novel of all time but it is beautifully written, very creepy, has characters that are realistic and genuine and a wonderfully theatric narration that doesn’t go over the top or take away from the material. Highly recommend!
