Summary
Now a movie starring Lucy Hale and Austin Stowell, USA Today bestselling author Sally Thorne’s hilarious and sexy workplace comedy all about that thin, fine line between hate and love.

Nemesis (n.) 1) An opponent or rival whom a person cannot best or overcome.

                     2) A person’s undoing

                     3) Joshua Templeman

Lucy Hutton has always been certain that the nice girl can get the corner office. She’s charming and accommodating and prides herself on being loved by everyone at Bexley & Gamin. Everyone except for coldly efficient, impeccably attired, physically intimidating Joshua Templeman. And the feeling is mutual.

Trapped in a shared office together forty (ok, fifty or sixty) hours a week, they’ve become entrenched in an addictive, ridiculous never-ending game of one-upmanship. There’s the Staring Game. The Mirror Game. The HR Game. Lucy can’t let Joshua beat her at anything—especially when a huge new promotion goes up for the taking.

If Lucy wins this game, she’ll be Joshua’s boss. If she loses, she’ll resign. So why is she suddenly having steamy dreams about Joshua, and dressing for work like she’s got a hot date? After a perfectly innocent elevator ride ends with an earth shattering kiss, Lucy starts to wonder whether she’s got Joshua Templeman all wrong.

Maybe Lucy Hutton doesn’t hate Joshua Templeman. And maybe, he doesn’t hate her either. Or maybe this is just another game.

This production includes a bonus excerpt from Sally Thorne’s next audiobook, 99 Percent Mine.

Enjoyable and perfect light read. Great for someone looking for a light hearted romantic story.

This is okay but at the same time perfect

Cute. Light hearted. Got a little over the endless references to how tiny, short, and quirky the protagonist is, and how tall the antagonist. It felt like a kink thing, which I didn't care for personally. Aside from that it was enjoyable. I'd recommend it if you like a scheming 'enemies to lovers' trope.

It was a good read. Was a light fun read not super interesting and not very complex really think there was way more potential than realized.

I would’ve loved Amelie Griffin as the narrator, she is spunky and would’ve been perfect for the female character. I also didn’t like all the wet noise from this narrator personally, I know reading can dry out a mouth but it was very loud when she swallowed or wet her mouth. Great story I’m just nit picking after seeing the movie of the spunky woman and the book is better in my opinion!

narrator too bland. story ok but kind of slow, run of the mill, prefer fresher plot.

Eh. The writing isn’t great and the main characters are pretty hollow and flat.

Such an easy read, I could not put it down! Lucy is a badass women in the workplace never giving up and holding her ground. Josh is an intelligent jerk who is secretly in love with her and it makes it so much more amazing when they begin to unfold their relationship. I’m excited to see the movie adaptation!

I read it some time ago. Watched the trailer and felt the new movie was not a mirror of the book and needed to read it again to make sure. Loved the book big time and a second time was just as good.

Not my favorite love story, the premise was there but it was really hard for me to get into with all The sex talk and too much of what the characters were thinking. Just didn’t flow right for me. I think it would have been a good story with out all the Small references and if the banter between the characters was more believable.

It took awhile for me to hooked but was driving a long distance so I persisted. As the book progressed more into relationships and less in the thoughts of the main character, I began to enjoy it. I liked the characters, the narrator and the way their relationship developed.
