Excellent book! I laughed. I cried. I cried because I laughed to hard. Tiffany reading her book showed her personality through her words. I liked her before, but now I absolutely adore her.

Amazing stories of her life and path to be where she is. I couldn’t shut it off.

The funniest audiobook ever! Warning: Tiffany’s stories can be vulgar and explicit, but so hilarious. I listened to this audiobook wanting to learn more about her time in foster care; however, the story of her youth jumps around and is hard to figure out her story chronologically. In her story telling, she really glosses over the extremely hurtful situations and covers her incredible hurt with humorous stories. She tells individual stories as a standup routine with her pronunciations and bad grammar plus vulgar language. The stories are mostly stand alone and aren’t specifically chronological. Even with all these issues, I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. It’s not a literary masterpiece but I wouldn’t expect that anyway.

This book was awesome. I enjoyed the story about her life as told by herself. The fact that she narrated the audiobook added a personal touch for me and definitely gave it more perspective that made it even easily to relate to and follow her story line.

EXCELLENT read/listen. Tiffany really opens up about topics that are hard to discuss but that so many people can relate to. Touching, emotional, and SO funny! So much better with Tiffany reading it herself! Totally recommend it to others.

Her life up until the publishing of this autobiography was hard. My heart ache for young Tiffany who had no father and a mother whose personality and ability to care for herself and her many children changed dramatically for the worse. Adult Tiffany had a few interesting dating issues. I had a hard time with the vulgar language and manner Tiffany chose to tell these dating stories. She came off as extremely mean when imitating disabled Roscoe even though I doubt highly that was her intention. Her professional career path to becoming a comedic actress and standup comedian was easier to hear and celebrate as she t shared it. Her celebrity friendships with Jada Pinkett Smith and Kevin Hart seemed to have influenced her the most. I hope by now she did achieve her goal of buying a duplex and housing her mentally ill mother in one of the units and getting her mother back on the medication regime that kept her the most stable and the least verbally and physically abusive to Tiffany. Overall, I am still on the fence about whether or not reading her autobiography was a good idea. Because of how crude and mean she came off sounding I would never pay to see her standup comedy routine. Her schtick just isn't my cup of tea. However, I love her dialed back energy on screen as a comedic actress and will continue to support her film career. Final thoughts: I would only recommend this autobiography to readers who can truly appreciate extremely crass language and a story that has absolutely no polite filters whatsoever.

Her honesty and raw vulnerability in this book is amazing and so inspiring! I definitely was expecting a funny memoir but was not mad about the heartbreaking realness she delivered. I loved hearing it in her own voice and this book really surprised me regarding how much sh*t Tiffany Haddish has actually been through in her life, and to come out the other side still fighting and still smiling! Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a REAL comedian perspective.

I enjoy Tiffany. She is very entertaining but she is also repetitious. I felt like I was hearing the same stories told and retold. At times I was bored but continued to listen looking forward to whatever else she might say that might be different. It was disappointing.

It’s great! I loved the book! Tiffany Haddish used a lot of profanity, and a lot of humor to tell her very real and honest stories. I learned so much about the author. Her stories opened up my mind to how difficult some lives can be. We are all born into this world as vulnerable and loving humans. We are shaped by our upbringing. I felt so sad for her most of the time, but she is resilient and amazing. I would recommend the book!

Freaking hilarious, real and funny at the same time

Tiffany’s honesty is hair on the back of my neck raising but she is able to put a smile on my face at the same time! Being read in her own voice really makes it special!!

I was a little skeptical at first, but thankfully I was so wrong! Tiffany is beyond hilarious and real and you can really feel her emotions through her narration. It is raw, but necessary to understand where she was and where she is now. One of my favorite books to add to my list.

Although I had heard a good bit of this book through Tiffany's standup, I thoroughly enjoyed hearing it all again through her narration. I laughed, I cried for her, then I laughed again. And the Last Black Unicorn song sealed the deal! Go Tiffany, all the best!

“She’s ready!”, strong, funny and shows the reader through her story how to push aside the bad and take the good in life! It touched my heart as somethings I seemed to identify with and found myself nodding my head saying “so true”.

This book was amazingly written and I must say it was an excellent addition to have Tiffany Haddish read her story. The way she read it, I could visualize as if I was going through the experiences with her. I view the book about her life as inspiring.

I dont usually leave reviews but i felt that i needed to. I didn’t know what to expect when I purchased this book and at first I was confused about how I felt about it. I didn’t think that I was going finish it. But I couldn’t stop listening to it. I wanted to know more. I’m glad I listened to the book instead of reading it. It’s was animated,funny, and real. And at times it felt as if she was my homegirl telling me about her life and encouraging me at the same time. I will probably listen to this book again.

A master storyteller, Tiffany enthralls the audience with stories of traumatic scenes from her life. She recounts them in such a way that does not traumatize the reader. In essence, she teaches the reader the power of a positive attitude in helping her be reslient. Tiffany Haddish, you are on my bucket list of people to meet and hug. I truly hope Roscoe comes back to you!!

I listened to the Audio version of this book and I completely recommend it. It's one thing to read her story, but having her read it to you is in my opinion the way better option. This woman went through so much in her life and I am so happy she kept true to herself and stayed strong. I do not want to give away any part of the book, but I will say if you love crazy and hilarious people then get this book ASAP. I didn't want this book to end! I wish I knew who Rumpelstiltskin was or any of the other comedians she mentioned who gave her a hard time as a woman in comedy.

Good story but very adult content. Make sure children don’t hear!

Tiffany is hysterical on stage and in movies. I loved Girl Trip. She’s very candid in the book and has engaged in some serious self examination. She has survived and thrived, by her hard work, a truly awful childhood. That said, it’s just so crude - beyond what’s needed, and even I - not the least bit prudish - found it just icky at times, and wishing the pendulum would begin to swing back to a little less ‘no holds barred’ obscenity.

The book was entertaining and really lives up to its marketing hype. Tiffany's timing on the promotion and events that introduced her to us i.e "Girls Trip" are so well documented and mentioned in the book, I feel like I know her! An area that could have been better was grammar and use of language, an audio choice smoothes this over but I doubt if I would have had patience to read the book.
