Could ten days at a health resort really change you forever? In Liane Moriarty’s latest audiobook, nine perfect strangers are about to find out...

Nine people gather at a remote health resort. Some are here to lose weight, some are here to get a reboot on life, some are here for reasons they can’t even admit to themselves. Amidst all of the luxury and pampering, the mindfulness and meditation, they know these ten days might involve some real work. But none of them could imagine just how challenging the next ten days are going to be.

Frances Welty, the formerly best-selling romantic novelist, arrives at Tranquillum House nursing a bad back, a broken heart, and an exquisitely painful paper cut. She’s immediately intrigued by her fellow guests. Most of them don’t look to be in need of a health resort at all. But the person that intrigues her most is the strange and charismatic owner/director of Tranquillum House. Could this person really have the answers Frances didn’t even know she was seeking? Should Frances put aside her doubts and immerse herself in everything Tranquillum House has to offer – or should she run while she still can?

It’s not long before every guest at Tranquillum House is asking exactly the same question.

Combining all of the hallmarks that have made her audiobooks a go-to for any listener looking for wickedly smart, unpausable fiction that will make you laugh and gasp, Liane Moriarty’s Nine Perfect Strangers once again shows why she is a master of her craft.

I love all her other books. This was not a favorite for me. I found the narrator very hard to listen to, and rather annoying.

I find the narration extremely distracting. The inflections and long pauses occur in inappropriate places and it sounds as if she's reading the book for the first time. It's so annoying that I can't finish this book and am very disappointed.

I think that Liane Moriarty is a very compassionate and funny writer - sometimes laugh-out-loud funny. I first read her "Big Little Lies" and enjoyed it for the same reasons. This story goes a bit over the top at times and for me all the repeated attempts at analysis grew thin but I hung in and overall enjoyed the book very much. There is a lot of excellent character development. I thought that the narrator was brilliant, especially with her change of accent for the character named Marcia.

I enjoyed the book tremendously. The narrator was excellent. I had a hard time understanding her at first but got use to her voice quickly and felt she did a wonderful job bringing the characters to life.

This was an interesting read but I enjoyed it but it also felt like it was missing something.

That’s it? The story dragged (drug?) on and there was beautiful detail to get to know the characters but it all just fizzled out. The ending was flatter than the open soda your grandma insists on keeping in her fridge. The narrator did the best she could with the multiple accents but when it got to a long part told from Marcias perspective I had to truly brace myself. I wish I would’ve passed, I got nothing out of this book.

Was long and drawn out and did not keep my interest. Did not like the ending either.

Moriarty is a genius! And Caroline Lee, a spectacular performer! The story is brilliant and unique, heartfelt and absolutely hilarious. There is also heartbreaking reality and character flaws relatable to every human. My new favorite book!!!! Bravo, Liane!!!

I thought it was an interesting journey into how we deal with personal tragedies and life events. Marsha, to me, was a perfect narcissist-the author developed her character perfectly. I enjoyed the book and wonderful narration very much.

A beautifully narrated book that Moriarty has so elegantly written by weaving the lives of nine strangers in a bizarre week of strange events and beyond. The writer keeps you wanting more, can’t wait to read other if her works.

I love Liane! She is one of my favorite authors for 4 years now. I’ve now read all her books and this was definitely my least favorite. Never felt pulled in like her other books. It took me a long while to finish it because I really got board. That being said, she is a great author and I recommend any of her other books. I LOVE the narrator! She narrates a few others of Liane’s books. :)

I love all of Liane’s other books but this one is disappointing. The narrator has a distracting tone that makes it difficult to really get into the story but even when I tried to get past that I realized the story isn’t that great either. I’m having a hard time finishing it :(

Too slow and no suspense. A lot of character development and too little plot. Disappointed in this book.

I was disappointed. I’ve read all Liane's books and didn’t like this book. Too far out there and not at all practical.

Not gonna lie the narration aggravated me for the first 3 hours then I was absolutely hooked. I didn’t ready up on this book so I was continuously thrown on different directions as I grew to know each character. Gave me the feels with a rainbow of emotions. Absolutely wonderful to the very end so glad for this random purchase ❤️

Some foreshadowing but still had no idea what was coming for the ever elusive *twist*. Was genuinely surprised and excited to hear what happened next. A few cliches but overall enjoyed the story. Narrator was great except the voice for Marsha was a little annoying at times and seemed inaccurate.

I loved other books by this author but hated this one. I found the characters not likable, the premise unbelievable and silly and the chapters confusing. The narrator is AWFUL! Her voice is grating and her inflection is odd. She attempts many accents and fails miserably. This is the first narrator I have not liked.

Intriguing! As always Liane Moriarty shows her incredible insight into the inner workings of the minds of each character. Their backstories unfold to reveal the conscious and subconscious reasons behind both their expressed and their unexpressed emotions. And motivations are not always born of complete sanity. I loved this book and the narrator!
