Summary
The New York Times bestseller—for fans of All the Light We Cannot See and The Tattooist of Auschwitz!

Three women. One daring mission.

1946. One morning while passing through Grand Central Terminal, Grace Healey finds an abandoned suitcase tucked beneath a bench. Inside is a dozen photographs—each of a different woman. Grace soon learns that the suitcase belonged to Eleanor Trigg, leader of a network of female secret agents deployed out of London during the war. Twelve of these women were sent to Occupied Europe as couriers and radio operators to aid the resistance, but they never returned home.

Setting out to learn the truth behind the women in the photographs, Grace finds herself drawn to a young mother turned agent named Marie, whose mission overseas reveals a remarkable story of friendship, valor and betrayal. In this riveting story inspired by true events, Pam Jenoff weaves a tale of courage, sisterhood and the great strength of women to survive in the hardest of circumstances.

Don’t miss Pam Jenoff’s new novel, Code Name Sapphire, a riveting tale of bravery and resistance during World War II.

Good story, although it took me more than halfway the book to finally accept the super annoying voices of Eleanor and Grace. Sorry to say, but Eleanor sounded like a call girl, and Grace's voice danced in all directions.

Fascinating story. I LOVED The Orphan’s Tale, so I knew this would be really great also. Then learning that this story is based on actual people and true events makes the story even more fascinating. I loved it.

I really enjoyed this story, but found a couple of the narrators irritating:(

This was a story about the war I'd never heard, the women of the SOE, very interesting. Could have dove deeper into the characters, but overall good. Did not like the narrator for Grace at all, her voice itself was grating and she really tried too hard with the inflections and it just didn't work for me. A distracting reader will take away from the story and that's what she did. I did like the other narrators ok.

This is an insult to the true heroic women women of the SOE. The minute she landed in France she became a ditz and betrayed her country for a man. Hello?!? Give a woman more credit !

I did enjoy the book. I love that it had a historical background. The narrarators kept the book moving. I was a little disappointed at the ending.

I enjoyed the story and the narrators. A narrator can make or break an audio book, but this one used just the right inflection.

I enjoyed the story, however, I had to force myself to listen to the end, I don't think I've ever listed to a book with such poor casting for the narrators. Grace's voice was not only irritating, but it also had strange inflection choices that were annoying. Eleanor's voice was so breathy, it bordered on ridiculous - and this from a character that was supposed to be a strong and self-reliant woman. It could have been so much more with better chosen narration.

Thoroughly enjoyed the story but must confess to finding one of the narrators disappointing, which distracted from the narrative. Otherwise, very good and well worth a listen.

I usually listen to books that are educational or non- novels... but as the first in decades this is a great start. Sometimes the minds needs muse a little while all along inspiring to more. You need something that speaks to You.

This book was a disappointment for me. The topic was fascinating but the writing was bland and repetitive. I couldn’t stand hearing the main characters saying the same cliche things again and again. There also wasn’t enough depth to the reasons the main characters made the choices they did.

Really enjoyed this story, had it finished in two days. Would like to have seen the end developed better but very satisfied with the story as a whole. Narrators were on point!

A easy to listen to novel although sometimes I felt it was read with an overley breathy quality. I do prefer my historical fiction with a little more detail and less spoon feeding.

What I was able to listen to was great.

Great story of women on WW II. Enjoyed the historical setting and reality -didn’t try to sugarcoat war. Ending only weak point -too much trying to tie everything into neat package which wasn’t true of the rest if the story.

Really fun, interesting, well-paced book. Unfortunately, I did not care for one narrator in particular. I understand why a certain tone was wanted, but phrasing was so off it was distracting. Sounded as though she was reading material for the first time

Good story and good narration. The one fault was that the love story plot was weak and seemed exaggerated.
