Jack Reacher becomes a John Wick in this book Reacher kills instead of fighting. Not one of his best books.
Best Reacher novel yet and it's been my pleasure to read them all.. Great plot line with classic one liners and a steady flow of action. Writers made good use of interesting former military veteran characters in developing the story line.
It pains me so much to rate this 2 stars. I have been a Jack Reacher groupie for 10+ years, but this book falls far below what I’ve come to expect from Child. Scattered, disjointed, uneasy flow are a few adjectives I’d attribute. Lee Child please don’t leave us now, bring Jack back.
great story, as usual
Worst Jack Reacher book! I’ve read them all. This book was just boring and silly.
I enjoyed the story line.
Easy to listen to.
Having Scott Brick be the voice of Jack Reacher is a win win for the reader. A great story!
Too predictable and unrealistic. I guess I am just tired of unrealistic heroes.
Classic Jack Reacher - see evil and fight evil regardless of the cause or the cause. A modern knight errant seeking the holy grail of justice for lifestyle underdogs. Good story.
Great , Great I have to order all Lee Childs books on tape . Thanks Mr Childs
fun book series to read for adults
Love this narrator and these books
I think I'm spoiled by Dick Hill's ability to follow Reacher's train of thought in his conversations with the other characters and bring it to life. Scott seems to speed read through some sections with out understanding the nuance of either his investigative style or how he will attempt to motivate others to a desired affect.
Three stars simply because Dick Hill IS Jack Reacher for audiobook addicts who have listened through the whole series. Scott Brick didn’t help a narrative which was certainly the most violence-ridden/least subtle Reacher novel to date, I’m confident Mr Child will insist on retaining Mr Hill for his next, more thoughtful/insightful novel in the Reacher tradition!
Reacher has his hands full with two rival gangs that taunt his hometown. He takes on the challenge of solving 13 year old murders when a current murder points to the past. Lots of intrigue and thinking in this one.
I really miss Dick Hill
