Absolutely hilarious, relatable and wholesome. The narrator was able to narrate the story so wonderfully I was lost in the story the entire time.

Stunning! With heart, and laugh-out-loud wit, I didn't want it to end. More than a rom-com, author Alexis Hall uses these characters to deliver some unexpected depth. I cared so much about the characters in "Boyfriend Material" that they even turned up in my dream! And, highest praises for the flawless Narrator. He knew the material, prepared unique voices in regional accents, and found both the humor and the tenderness in his pacing. He was the perfect reader for this delightful tale.

Funny book, and well written romance

Quite a number of very funny moments where I legitimately laughed, overall enjoyable, but couldn't really get myself to really strongly like Luc. Honestly, I wouldn't even blink if the main characters had been lesbians, because some disaster lesbians they are, except gay men. The narrator did an absolutely wonderful job, gave everyone their own distinctive voice and has a good and decent pace. Very pleasant to listen to,

A fresh, enjoyable, contemporary rom-com which gives its main and supporting characters some rare depth. the narration is excellent and brings the wide cast of characters to life with authentic accents from across the UK, not something I always get to hear in audiobooks.

This book is addictive. I couldn't stop listening to it. Buy it!

Good book ,many funny situations that made me smile.

Adorable!!! That’s the word that comes to mind for this book! I laughed out loud, felt their journey and found I didn’t want to stop listening. I’m excited the author has more books coming for this couple. The narrator was amazing!! I’ll be recommending this book for months to come.

God. Oh my effing god. I thought while reading this book that I couldn't possibly love it any more, but this audiobook is a whole new level. I'd call Joe Jameson brilliant, but that seems hardly adequate. This book, and this narration, is everything.

A good cheesy romance novel. I was interested the whole time.

After I started, I couldn't put it down for 6 hours. A lovely book that makes you feel things. It turned out to be much deeper and less cliché than I expected.

I actually read this book last year. Alexis Hall is an amazing writer. This is a perfect romcom, an amazing blend of funny and tender. And the narrator is absolutely fantastic. He does all the voices so well and really brings the characters to life.

I absolutely LOVED this book! It was laugh out loud funny many times and a great story with great humor. Reminded me of Ted Lasso humor. I was downright sad when the book ended!

My second Alexis Hall romantic comedy ( after "Absolutely Fabulous"). I love the author's style and characters are drawn beautifully. I personally could do without the "F" word, but what can you do? Luc's lack of self confidence is sometimes endearing nd sometimes infuriating but he is definitely loveable. Mr. Jameson, as narrator, added even more depth to the characters with his regional accents and was convincing both in his male and female voices. A wonderful audiobook!

I liked this book so much that I read it twice! I love the characters and the fake boyfriend trope gets me every time. The narrator is also wonderful, I love the different voices he gives each character! (And i really love that the same narrator narrates the second book)

I've listened to this one at least 3 times over the past couple years, it's hands down my favorite. Luc is such a relatable character with realistic fears, doubts, and reactions to the world around him. Oliver is the perfect picture of how the "perfect man" is an impossible mantle, but you don't need to be perfect to be loved. Their story is so fun and wholesome, I love watching them fall for each other again and again. The side characters are a fun mix too, I hope they get more life in the upcoming sequel because I loved them all (and I hope Alex is still not understanding Luc's jokes). The narrator did a fantastic job, I couldn't imagine anyone else doing the narration for these lovely boys. I highly recommend this book to everyone!

Joe Jameson is the best narrator I have ever heard. I find myself looking for my next book based on Jameson’s list of narrated books now. Wow. What a pleasure! I had already read Boyfriend Material (absolutely loved it!) before I came across the audio version, and was just curious to hear the sample. Needless to say, I bought the audiobook version as well and have listened to it several times already. And forced other people to listen to it.
