An absolute gem of a book for sure. The characters are hilarious, heartwarming and so easy to connect with. The narrator is fabulous as well!!! I am so very glad I 'read' this story though her narration, she makes it all the better.

I prefer some of the other books in this series, but this title is always an enjoyable listen. And I just love the reader, Rosalyn Landor

Excellent story, loved the differences between the book and the 1st season of the show. The 2nd epilogue was just amazing, loved seeing a snip of them 20yrs later.

Daphne grows a lot in this book and really comes into herself.

Started my love for historical romances.

The first book in this series gets the reader hooked. I am on the fourth book, and still can’t get enough. Following the characters of the Bridgerton family allows the reader to feel as if they are part of this large family. Each character has a different personality and the reader falls in love with each one.

Plot is predictable.

I went about things backwards and watched the series before reading the book, but if I hadn't watched the series, the book's description of the characters personalities is very vivid and easy to imagine. I loved how very detailed and descriptive this book is about events taking place and it's surroundings. you can feel the emotions the character is experiencing as if it was yourself. the narrator allowed that as well, with her different changes of tone. very good book. happy, sad, spicy, and fun.

I just can’t get enough! I read this book years ago, love the show, and just listened to this audio. It did not disappoint.

What an absolute pleasure to read. Had me laughing, crying and wanting to squirm pleasurably in my seat. Can't wait for next book.

Good love story but I wish Daphne wasn't so nieve.

This was a fun, light listen. I would have given this book 5 stars, but I did not appreciate the sex scenes which left little to the imagination. They seemed out of character for this book and time period. If I want to read smut (which I don't), I would look elsewhere. I didn't expect it for this title. The book made me laugh. I love the characters who were real and refreshing in the formal, stuffy setting of the day. The narrator was fantastic.

Enjoyable because it helped round out the characters and television story.

The beginning hooks your heart, each added character & their intertwined development and well placed/worded quips are perfect, just the right amount emotional depth, and the absolutely perfect romantic development to keep you coming back for more...because it feels so real, deep, and true that you wish it were yours to keep.

It's OK. Strangely enough the TV show was better. Daphne is horrible in this.

I will admit I saw the Netflix series first. But as normal the book is so much better. I normally just listen when I'm driving the 1 hour to and from work , or if I'm driving a tractor. But this one was so good. I was listening when. I was cooking and cleaning.
