Unabridged Audiobook
Foundation is a science fiction milestone. Asimov can't be beat for pure ideas. His characters aren't always what one would wish but with so many ideas, who cares? The text is densely plotted and one must follow closely to keep up. Scott Brick is a wonderful reader. He slips easily over all those obtuse science fiction-ie names of planets and people. Thumbs up for a good old-fashioned classic.
I found this while looking for books like "Dune", but I just couldn't get into it. The book keeps jumping though generations of people, so you have to get used to new characters, which are all just versions of the same heady male strategist. There is no good character interaction or development to keep me engaged.
A complex story that needs full attention to enjoy. If you want some light reading, move on.
narrator was amazing and the book was amazing.
The book has no female characters, which is a glaring flaw. It shows little insight for a supposed Sci-Fi classic. I could not read past the first half.
I like the plot of the story but it’s boring. It’s difficult to keep the mind from wandering while listening to it.
