Unabridged Audiobook
The author should have spent less time on his childhood. It could have been shorten with the same effect. Overall a very enjoyable listen.
The language and parts of the story were distasteful, and yet, it's all believable. I lived through the 1980s and came to appreciate the author/narrator better because of his experiences. I don't think I'll ever seek out his restaurant or try to get behind the scenes of any food services, but I think the book was a worthy "read" for an adult audience.
I thought this book would be really good. I was super disappointed. There’s just nothing of substance. It sort of rambles. I really wanted to like it but just couldn’t.
Good story but sometimes felt I was listening to a porn story
