Amaleka McCall grew up in the streets of Brooklyn. She earned her baccalaureate degree in criminal justice from St. John's University and her master's degree in public administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. In 2004, Amaleka moved to the DC metro area and went to work for the United States government. She has made a home there with her husband and three children. She loves spending quality time with her family, writing, watching movies, and reading books.
