Barry Letts (1925 2009) was a British actor and producer who worked on numerous television series, radio shows, and films. In 1969 he became the producer of "Doctor Who" and remained at that post until 1974. During this time he also directed several episodes, and he is now regarded as one of the most influential figures in the history of the show.
